Ramadhan Acrostic Poem Competition
Terms & Conditions
This competition is open to anyone who is 16 years of age or under and is attending either primary or secondary school in the UK.
The theme of the competition is a Ramadhan Acrostic Poem. The purpose of the competition is to help children connect to the month of Ramadhan and to encourage our children’s creativity.
There are three entry categories:
Category 1: Ages 4 to 7 (infant)
Category 2: Ages 8 to 11 (junior)
Category 3: Ages 12 to 16 (secondary)
For each category, there are TEN prizes to be won:
First £50 Islamic book bundle (1 winner)
Second £25 Islamic book bundle (3 winners)
Third £15 Islamic book bundle (6 winners)
Maximum 1 entry is permitted per person. Entries are to be submitted online via ukimeducation.org/competition.
The poems should be the participants own words.
All entries submitted to the competition must be original. They cannot be copies of any existing work. If any submitted work is deemed to have been plagiarised from unreferenced sources, it will be disqualified and will not be considered.
By entering the competition, this constitutes consent for us to use your entry, name or photos for editorial or publicity purposes, should you be a winner. Please ensure parents/carers have given their consent on the submission form.
The winners will be chosen by a judging panel which will be made up of representatives chosen by the UKIM Education Committee. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Every effort will be made to notify the winners by email by midday (12 noon) Tuesday 31st May 2022. Winners must respond within 7 days of receiving their notification or an alternative winner may be chosen. We cannot be held responsible for non-functional email address provided by you at the time of entering the competition.
By entering the competition, entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
UK Education Committee reserves the right to change or withdraw the competition and/or prize at any time.
Competition closes on Monday 9th May 2022 at midday (12 noon). Any entries received after this will not be considered.
